New Hope Ministries – India Newsletter
Dear Friends,
All of us at New Hope Ministries wish you a blessed and joyful Easter! We praise God for the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, who fills our lives with living hope, joy, and victory. As the Bible says, “He is not here; He has risen, just as He said” (Matthew 28:6). On Palm Sunday, the children from our Children’s Home and Sunday School joyfully carried palm branches, praising God on the streets as they walked to church. It was both a beautiful procession and a powerful witness to our community. Our congregation and choir leaders encouraged them,
and we rejoiced to see these young souls worshipping the true and living God with sincerity and joy.
We praise God for His Son’s resurrection, and we were blessed to be able to worship Him through a glorious Easter morning service, held from 5:30 AM to 8:00 AM. Truly, this Resurrection Day was filled with the presence, power, and joy of our living Savior. We joyfully report that many
newcomers attended the service, and by God’s grace, nearly 27 souls accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Heaven rejoiced, and our
hearts were filled with gratitude to see these lives being transformed.
The children from the children’s home and our youth beautifully led us in worship through joyful songs and meaningful skits, their performances brought great encouragement to the congregation. Their innocent hearts and dedication glorified God in a special way.
We were also touched by the love and generosity of one young family, who came forward with thankful hearts and sponsored breakfast for around 1,800 people. May the Lord richly bless their family for their sacrificial giving and loving spirit. They have also expressed a desire to conduct a thanksgiving meeting, offering all glory to God for the opportunity to serve during this Easter celebration. Easter reminds us once again that our hope is alive, our Savior reigns, and His love continues to reach and restore lives.
In India, all of the 10th-grade students sit for a critical examination that plays a key role in the future of every student. The results of the examination determine what sort of academic future the student will be able to pursue. We make every effort to ensure that our New Hope High School students are well prepared for these examinations. All of the students worked very hard day and night to prepare and the exams are now completed. Knowing the effort they put forth, we are prayerfully expecting excellent results. After this, they will move to 11th grade, known as Junior College in our state. Kindly remember them in your prayers.
Our summer season signals the start of our evangelism and outreach ministries. Our disciples and pastors are preparing to conduct street outreaches in the evenings, where many people gather. It will be a wonderful opportunity to share the Gospel and reach the unreached. Of course, the enemy always stirs up opposition to the Gospel and we know we will face many challenges. It truly is a spiritual battle between the kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness, yet we know that our great God will prevail.. We humbly request your prayers for strength, boldness, and the power of the Holy Spirit to empower us as we faithfully proclaim the Good News in many villages.
With the blessing of our great God, we are excited to report that our school construction project and other ministry projects are nearing completion. These additions will be a great blessing for many poor and underprivileged children, as well as for reaching many unreached communities with the love of Christ.
We sincerely thank you for your prayers, love, and generous support. Through your partnership, we are able to care for children and spread the Gospel in difficult areas. As it is written in James 1:27, “Pure and undefiled religion before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”
Ruth and I are planning to visit the United States in May to spend time with our grandchildren and family. We also hope to meet with a few of you and share testimonies of what God has done in our nation and in the lives of our people. Kindly pray for our safe journey and meaningful time of fellowship.
