New Hope Ministries – India Newsletter
Dear Friends,
Greetings from India in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
By the grace of God and through your faithful prayers, God’s ministry in India is moving forward wonderfully. We thank God for each one of you for standing with us in your love, prayers, and generosity.
We celebrated the New Year by gathering on January 1 at our headquarters church in Chillakallu. It was a powerful time of prayer, thanksgiving and praising the Lord. The congregation, children from the children’s home, New Hope High School teachers, and many new visitors gathered together to seek the Lord. As the Word of God was preached, we could sense the mighty presence of God moving in our midst. Many people were touched and encouraged by God’s mighty right hand. After the service, we shared a “love feast” and enjoyed sweet fellowship, rejoicing in what the Lord is doing among us.
Encouraged by the urging of the Holy Spirit, we hosted an Inter Denominational Pastors’ Fellowship, attended by 650 pastors along with
150 of their wives. God’s Word was shared from the book of Philemon, and through sharing testimonies and fellowship, God reminded us of the importance of unity among spiritual leaders. We reflected deeply on Psalm 133, and many pastors shared about the persecution and threats they and their families face in their ministry. As we prayed together, we were strengthened and encouraged. We also distributed new diaries to each pastor and their wives, encouraging them to record testimonies and the personal words God speaks to them throughout this year.
We would also like to share how faithful God has been in reaching the community through New Hope High School. The school began in 2010 with just 15 children, and today, by God’s grace, it serves more than 700 students. The vision leading to the establishment of this school was to break the cycle of superstition, witchcraft, and darkness in the next generation by providing education and Christ centered moral values.
For the first time, we held an anniversary celebration honoring God's
faithfulness in establishing this school 15 years ago. More than 2,000 people,
including parents and community members, attended. Government officials from education, judicial, police, and revenue departments, along with village leaders and public representatives, joined us as honored guests. They were deeply moved as they witnessed how New Hope High School has transformed the lives of poor and underprivileged children in this region. Many openly testified on the stage that this school stands as a bright shining light for the entire area, proving that love, dedication, and commitment can truly change a child’s future regardless of poverty or environment.
The school children performed 13 dances and 4 dramas, and the entire campus was beautifully decorated with handmade crafts prepared by the students and teachers. For nearly two months, they worked diligently to make this celebration successful. The guests marveled at the students’ innovative
projects displayed for International Science Day and also commended the children for receiving All-India INSPIRE Awards from the Government of India for their inventions and creativity. Prizes, certificates, and gifts were distributed for excellence in academics, sports, debate, and other activities.
Looking ahead, we are prayerfully planning to conduct a two-day free eye medical camp for the poor in our community. We are also preparing to organize another pastors’ seminar so we can pray with and encourage our New Hope pastors who stand on the front lines of the spiritual battle waged for the souls of the lost in the villages. May the Lord lead and guide us as we face persecution from principalities and powers.
Once again, overwhelmed and humbled by your steadfast prayers, love, and generous support. Without your partnership, we would not be able to share the love of Christ or extend His Kingdom among the unreached. Please know that we pray without ceasing for your families, churches, businesses, and for your entire nation.
May the Lord bless you abundantly and reward you richly for all that you do for His Kingdom.
