New Hope Ministries – India Newsletter “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of Hosts.” Zechariah 4:6
Dear Friends,
Greetings in the precious and matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Ruth and I pray without ceasing for you and your family. We thank God for each one of you who faithfully stand with us through your prayers, encouragement, and financial support. Your partnership has an eternal impact on countless lives across India.
By the grace of God, Ruth and I are now in America for a short visit. Our primary purpose is to spend time with our family and grandchildren and, as much as my health permits, to personally call and thank as many of our dear friends and ministry partners as possible while we are here. I am unable to travel extensively because of my health, so I will call whenever possible to express my heartfelt gratitude and to share testimony of what God is doing through New Hope Ministries.
India is experiencing an extremely hot summer, with temperatures reaching 50–55°C (122–131°F). A few days ago, a powerful windstorm swept through our village and many large trees on our campus were uprooted, several roofs were damaged, and electrical poles were broken, leaving us without power for several days. Yet in the midst of the storm, God showed His mercy. Not a single person on our campus was harmed. Though property was damaged, the Lord protected every life. We praise Him for His faithfulness and divine protection.
The Gospel continues to advance in unreached villages. Our pastors and
disciples are faithfully sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ in places where
many have never heard His name. We are witnessing people surrendering their lives to Christ, experiencing freedom from spiritual bondage, and receiving physical healing through the power of prayer.
Yet many challenges remain. We have encountered opposition and physical intimidation in some locations in an attempt to discourage our outreach efforts. The Lord continues to lead us through every trial and difficulty. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, our teams remain steadfast, and the work of God’s Kingdom continues to move forward. We thank God for His sustaining grace and for allowing New Hope Ministries to be part of His great harvest.
We are also grateful to share wonderful news about our children and school
ministry. Summer holidays have ended, and students have returned to their classrooms with excitement and hope for a new academic year. This year, many children from our Children’s Home achieved outstanding academic results. Several students secured top ranks in the region. Some received scores of 99 out of 100 in Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, and 97 out of 100 in English. Our school is ranked number 1 in the region, bringing great honor to the Lord.
God has shown His greatness through the transformation of these children. Many of them come from poverty and social barriers that make access to quality education virtually impossible. Through God’s provision, your prayers, and your support, these young lives are being transformed. Their success is a
testimony to our community that our God can change lives and create a bright future for children who once had little hope. We praise God wholeheartedly for His blessings and we thank each and every one of you who have helped all; of this come to fruition. Together, we are caring for poor children, widows, and families in need while sharing the love of Christ. Every seed you sow is producing eternal fruit for the Kingdom of God.
One day, when we stand before our Lord, we believe we will rejoice together as we see the countless lives touched through your faithful partnership. Thank you for standing with us. We pray continually for your families, churches, ministries, businesses, and for God’s blessings upon your nation. May His
presence surround you, guide you, protect you, and fill you with His peace. Please continue to pray for us as we seek to fulfill His calling. “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:58
